I’m just a girl …

… sitting at the top of the tree, waiting patiently for a boy who won’t give up climbing.

Of the 2 who I thought had reached the top (aka Mr Wrong #1 & #2) well #1 did, but then decided the view wasn’t for him and #2 didn’t bother, he just threw me a lifeline as if he was doing me a favour and like a fool I climbed down. I learned my lesson the hard way.

So, now I just sit waiting.

And you know what, it’s a beautiful view up here. It’s peaceful, beautiful, warm and I can see forever 😉

And one day the right boy will reach the top, even if I have to wait until my next lifetime.

The A-Z of Life – Ignorance

They say ‘ignorance is bliss’ignorance

But if we turn the proverbial blind eye, pretend not to notice what is happening, think merely that we are imagining things and that everything really is all right, then who are we actually trying to fool?

Ourselves, or the world?

If we carry on fooling ourselves then there must come a point when reality is bound to hit home, and the imaginings become a glaring and stark reality.

If we carry on fooling ourselves for too long then sometimes it may be too late to reverse any situation we may find ourselves in.

If we carry on fooling ourselves and the world who will end up getting more hurt?

We all make mistakes in life, and sometimes even trying to rectify situations doesn’t actually alter the final outcome.

Destiny and fate will ultimately bring us to where we were meant to arrive.

But do we act like the ostrich and bury our heads in the sand, wishing and hoping for a different outcome?

Or do we confront our fears and demons?

Don’t Doubt – Just Believe!

Sometimes, we all doubt about things.

Anything from something insignificant to big things.

But if we just have a pinch of faith, a dollop of hope and believe … anything is possible 😉

We all make mistakes in our everyday life, both knowingly and unknowingly. Sometimes what we see as a throw-away remark is not met with the same meaning from others.

But by thinking the best of people, maybe, just maybe they might see the best in us as well 😉

Do you believe in angels?

I do.

I believe in fairies, magic, angels and guardian angels.

Whether this be a guardian angel or a spirit guide, or indeed whether these are one and the same, I believe we all have someone watching our backs, looking over us, and somehow guiding us along the path to our rightful destiny.

I like to think that when we shuffle off this mortal coil we do go to a better place, I just don’t get that at the end that’s it! I know our physical self will be worn out, but our souls are not a physical matter, what happens to them?

I believe in reincarnation, I believe our souls are reborn and continue their journey. And with every life we learn from mistakes made in past lives.

I also believe in soul-mates. And maybe we go searching through several lifetimes before we meet them. But I believe when 2 souls meet and its meant to be, you feel a deep connection without really knowing why and it’s like … magic!

I believe in magic! Not pulling rabbits out of hats type magic, but natural magic. Wonders of the earth and environment that you can’t explain. Magic in a good way 😉

I believe in fairies and fairy lore. I believe that like angels, fairies help guide us along the right path.

But most of all I believe in life 😉

I saw this quote the other day on a frame in a shop and thought it most beautiful:

Inspirational Quotes

There seem to be a multitude of ‘inspirational quotes’ artwork around at the moment, so I thought I’d create my own using some sayings that mean a lot to me.

I Learned by Octavian Paler

I stumbled across this beautiful poem by the Romanian writer Octavian Paler the other day. It’s words are so true I wanted to share them:

We have time …
We have time for everything
To sleep, or to be all over the place,
To regret mistakes and do them again,
To judge others and find excuses for ourselves,

We have time to read and write,
To correct our writings, and regret what we wrote, We have time to make plans and never complete them,
We have time to fantasize about impossible things
and later on to look into the ashes of them.

We have time for ambitions and diseases,
To blame fate and the details,
We have time to watch the clouds, TV commercials and shocking news,
We have time to not answer questions,
To postpone the answers,
We have time to kill a dream and recreate it later
We have time to make friends, and lose them
We have time to get lessons and forget them later on,
We have time to get gifts and not understand them.
We have time for everything.

But we don’t have time for a little kindness.
When one does they are dying.

I learned some important things in my life and I would like to share them with you.
I learned that you can not make somebody love you. All you can do is to be a lovely person, the rest … depends on others.
I learned that it does not matter how much I care, others don’t.
I learned that it takes years to win somebody’s trust and it takes just a few seconds to lose it.
I learned that doesn’t matter what you HAVE in life, all that matters is with WHOM you have it.
I learned that in the first 15 min you can impress somebody by using your charm after that you have to come up with something smart.
I learned that you don’t have to compare yourself with what other people are best at you have to find out what is your best.
I learned that it does not matter what happens to people, what matters is what I can do to help.

I learned that each episode has two faces.

I learned you should part lovingly from those you love, It may be the last time you have the opportunity to see that person.
I learned that you can run a long time after you said that you are exhausted.
I learned that heroes are people who do the right thing when it is needed not caring about the consequences.

I learned that there are people that love you but they do not know how to show it.
I learned that when I am upset I have the right to be upset but I do not have the right to be mean.

I learned that you can have long distance friendships, the same applies to love.
I learned that if somebody does not love you like you wish, It does not mean he or she does not love you from the bottom of their heart.
He or she will occasionally hurt you and you will forgive it.

I learned that it is not enough to forgive others sometimes you have to forgive yourself.
I learned that regardless how much you are suffering the world will not stop.
I learned that your past can have an impact on your personality but you are responsible for what you are going to become.
I learned that, if two people get into a fight it does not mean they do not love each other. And the fact that they do not fight does not mean they love each other.
I learned that sometimes you have to put the person first and not their actions.
I learned that two people can see different sides of the same incident.
I learned that indifferent of the consequences those who are honest with themselves are the winners in life.
I learned that your life can be changed by strangers in a few hours.
I learned that when you think you have nothing to give your friend can call for help, and you will find the strength to help him.

I learned that talking and writing can help to heal your pain.
I learned that you spend too little time with people you love the most…

I learned that is very hard to know when to be nice so you do not hurt people but you still sustain your opinions.

I learned to love so I can be loved in return.

Live, Love, Laugh, Sing

Live, like heaven is on earth

Love, like you’ve never been hurt

Laugh, like no one is listening

Sing, as if no one can hear

Dance, as if no one is watching

Play, like there are no winners

Give, like you have plenty

Smile, til your face hurts

Cherish, your family and friends everyday

I saw this as a wall plaque, and thought it was rather a positive and inspirational saying. I’m sure it’s a famous quote, but no idea who wrote it. To who ever did, thank you 😉

Another of my mantras is that every day is fresh  … with no mistakes in it 😉
